The job future with augmented reality

Meanwhile, the big hype around the smartphone game Pokémon GO! has already passed for some time, but there is still a great interest in the business world in the AR technology that made the game famous.

For some time now, the technology has often been used unnoticed, yet it has not yet been able to conquer the masses. There are many different prototypes and ideas available that are supposed to make every day work easier and create a great competitive advantage, however, only a small number of them are actually used.

However, companies that are already using the applications of augmented and Virtual Reality Supplier are experiencing extremely positive effects as a result.

The application of augmented reality in the job world

For example, AR is nowadays already increasingly used in the logistics sector. Some of the large logistics companies are using data glasses across the board, which show the wearer his next work steps directly in his field of vision or indicate the shortest route with corresponding arrows. This significantly reduces the error rate during operation and increases productivity. The duration of the training period for new employees is also considerably reduced.

The possibilities of AR are already being exploited today in technician and craftsman professions. For example, it is possible to project machine information directly in front of the eye of the respective employee – the glasses are only operated via voice commands and gestures.

The new possibilities of augmented reality

A new generation of augmented reality was created by the new Windows, which was recently released. Augmented reality is already firmly integrated into the operating system, so that the traditional desktop can be expanded by corresponding AR elements.

If the user wears data glasses, he can project the user interface into his real environment and thus work on several devices at the same time. The work is not lost from sight even if the desk is left for some time. It is also possible to operate the smartphone and the computer via the modern AR glasses.

Architects can use this, for example, to display hologram objects in front of them and make changes to them with their hands. Accordingly, the workplace of the future is characterized by the ability to walk around freely while working. Many work steps in various industries can be significantly simplified by superimposed holograms.

A major advantage also arises from the possibilities of AR at congresses. After all, it is no longer necessary for visitors to decipher small name tags – with AR, all they have to do is scan the room and receive all the important information about the people present in just a few seconds.

The professional world of the future

Engineering will particularly benefit from the advancements and innovations of AR. It will thus be possible to work collaboratively on 3D models without having to be on site. It will also be possible to develop devices in the form of holograms, where individual components can be replaced in a matter of seconds.

In addition, engineers are trained while training courses, which are also designed with the help of holograms. Innovative devices make it possible to superimpose AR applications on all surfaces at low cost. This means that any surface can be converted into an AR display. The display can then be operated like a conventional touchscreen.
